Sometimes our clients ask us what an LPN label is, so we thought it might be helpful to explain for anyone who doesn’t know.
When a customer returns a unit to Amazon, Amazon puts a label on it called an LPN label. LPN stands for “License Plate Number” and it is an internal identification number. If the unit does not appear visibly damaged, Amazon will make the item available for sale.
If you are an OA seller, you may sometimes source your items on Amazon. If we ever receive an LPN unit for you at our facility, we will mark the unit as “Research” (if the only thing “wrong” is that there is an LPN label present) or “Damaged” (if the product is also visibly damaged) in EPIC and leave a comment. When you review your inventory, you’ll decide if you want to:
- Provide a return label for that unit so you might get a refund from Amazon.
- Ask us to inspect the item and remove the label, then send it to Amazon.
If you request photos of the LPN unit, we can take care of that as well.
We are always happy to help, and answer any questions you may have.
